Question 1

What is the difference between Easy Mode and Master Mode?

Accepted Answer

You can select between two modes depending on your familiarity with Saju terminology and preferred style.

Question 2

What is the Thinking Level, and what are the differences between Flash and Pro models?

Accepted Answer

In the right execution panel, you can freely adjust the AI's computational depth and model from Level 1 to 5.

• Lv 1–3 (Flash Model): Delivers fast response speeds and optimal computational efficiency. Best suited for daily consultations, light advice, and quick pillar checks with economical credit consumption.
• Lv 4–5 (Pro Deep Reasoning Model): Powered by a dedicated deep reasoning engine that thoroughly explores complex natal patterns (Gyeokguk), Useful/Favorable Gods, and multi-layered Luck Pillar interactions for critical life decisions such as career changes, business ventures, investments, or marriage. Question 3

What are the functions of the tools (Cross Check, Classical Archive, Expert Mode)?

Accepted Answer

These are three powerful extension tools that complement AI analysis.

Question 4

How do I use System Instructions?

Accepted Answer

This advanced personalization feature allows you to enforce the AI's tone, expertise level, or specific consulting persona. Click 'System Instructions' in the right execution panel to write and manage your instructions. Once saved, they are automatically synchronized with your cloud account and injected into your AI consultations in real time. (e.g., "Provide realistic, strategic advice from the perspective of a startup business consultant" or "Analyze the profound effects of the Ten Gods and Hidden Stems from a classical BaZi master's perspective.")

Question 5

How can I edit or add my Saju profile in Manse Calendar?

Accepted Answer

You can modify your Saju profile or add new profiles for family and colleagues anytime via the [Manse Calendar] menu or from the right panel. When you update your birth date, time, or birth city (with True Solar Time longitude and equation-of-time corrections), our built-in high-precision Manse Calendar engine instantly recalculates your Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches, Hidden Stems, 12 Life Stages, Symbolic Stars, and Useful/Favorable Gods without a second of error, immediately synchronizing across all features and AI consultations.

Question 6

Can I also see compatibility (multi-person analysis) with family or partners?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 8Letters supports simultaneous multi-profile analysis. In the 'Profile Selection' panel on the right, check (activate) additional profiles of family, partners, or business partners besides yourself, then ask a question in the chat. The AI will load the Natal Charts of all active individuals simultaneously and precisely simulate interactions (Combination, Clash, Destruction, Harm, etc.).

Question 7

What is the 8Letters Life Matrix Dashboard, and what analysis features does it provide?

Accepted Answer

The 8Letters Life Matrix Dashboard goes far beyond superficial single-day guidance. Grounded in your 10-year Major Cycle (Luck Pillar), it executes multi-layered cross-calculations of daily pillars and hourly flows within the macro context of the Annual Pillar (Yearly Luck) and Monthly Pillar (Monthly Luck) across 5 specialized simulators.

• Today's Guidance (Daily): Analyzes the dynamic chemical interaction where Major Cycles, Annual, and Monthly flows converge onto today's daily pillar—featuring a 5-point radar chart (Wealth, Career, Love, Health, Study), 12 two-hour golden time action plans, and a 7-day biorhythm curve.
• Monthly Matrix (Monthly): Visualizes the month's pillar and 30-day wave curve aligned with your Annual and Major cycles, pinpointing peak opportunity windows and risk mitigation periods for proactive monthly planning.
• Yearly Matrix (Yearly): Synthesizes the year's annual pillar with your 10-year Major Cycle and natal chart across a 12-month calendar to forecast pivotal milestones and overarching growth trends.
• Specific Date Matrix (Specific): Pinpoints any significant past or future date to simulate how that specific day's energy intersects with your active Major, Annual, and Monthly cycles (Combinations, Clashes, Penalties, Harms).
• Optimal Timing Recommendation (Taelil): AI-driven date selection for moves, contracts, and key milestones, filtering out Major and Annual conflicts while maximizing auspicious celestial stars.

Question 8

When and how are the Daily Guidance Push Notifications delivered?

Accepted Answer

8Letters guidance pushes are far deeper than simple daily fortunes. Three times a day, our engine anchors your forecast in the macro trajectory of your 10-year Major Cycle and Annual Pillar, dynamically calculating their intersection with the monthly and daily energies to proactively preview upcoming flows and strategic action steps (Pre-notification). Notifications automatically sync with your device's local timezone, and tapping an alert instantly opens your Today's Guidance Dashboard for detailed hourly guidance.

Question 9

Why are the results always wrong when I ask general AI about Saju?

Accepted Answer

General large language models like Claude or ChatGPT are merely text generators that 'understand context and predict the next word'; they do not have an internal Saju Calendar engine for astrological calculations. This leads to the following critical limitations.

Question 10

How did 8Letters solve this problem?

Accepted Answer

8Letters never delegates mathematical Saju calculations to AI. Instead, we architected a hybrid system where our ultra-precise Saju Calendar engine performs 100% of the computations, while the AI focuses solely on rich, contextual interpretation.

Question 11

Does it contain 'all data' for 100 years?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it does. But it is not simply 'stored' data; it is in the form of a 'real-time calculation engine.'

Question 12

What specific information is included?

Accepted Answer

It is not just characters like "It's a Gapja day, it's an Eulchuk day." The data for each day includes all of the following information.

Question 13

How does AI utilize this vast amount of information?

Accepted Answer

In Saju astrology, analyzing a single day's fortune in isolation is like mistaking a brief moment of sunshine during a harsh winter blizzard for the arrival of spring. Regardless of what you ask, 8Letters AI always executes Multi-layered Cross Analysis across all temporal horizons.

Question 14

How is 8Letters' time calculation different from ordinary saju apps? (True Solar Time & Global Timezone Auto-Detection)

Accepted Answer

The time in Saju astrology is not the mean solar time shown by clocks, but the True Solar Time, which takes the moment the actual sun is overhead (due south) as noon (午時) as the absolute standard. The 8Letters engine adopts a Dual Correction Engine that dynamically integrates astronomical orbital equations and geographic coordinates — rather than a one-size-fits-all offset that only works for one specific region.
